Operating since 1940, Evelyn Ott School of Dance is the longest-running studio in Tidewater. Our legacy has included many generations of families who have supported a professional studio with a caring environment. Evelyn Ott School of Dance offers a supportive and safe environment, with excellent instruction to develop technique, poise, self-confidence, and a love of dance. Evelyn Ott School of Dance has been recognized for many outstanding professional achievements in the dance field, as well as for many charitable community contributions throughout the Tidewater area.
 

We are incredibly proud to be one of the oldest, continuously running dance studios in the Tidewater area and the United States. EOSOD has been featured in several publications, including Dance Spirit & Dance Teacher, notably recognized as part of the "50 Studios on the Move" feature.
 

Here at Evelyn Ott School of Dance, we don't just work hard in the studio, but community involvement and support take a significant priority. We have been proud to support Relay for Life, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Alzheimer's Association, Senior Center performances, Navy & Coast Guard activities, For Kids organization, National Young Leaders, Tidewater Food Bank, SPCA, Portsmouth Humane Society, Spikes K9 Fund, CHKD, and more.
